Bruno Lucchesi B. 1926
“Woman Sleeping in a Chair” Bronze
Born in Italy in 1926, Bruno Lucchesi has been referred to as “the last of the Renaissance sculptors.” Lucchesi divides his time between New York and Italy. A master of figurative sculpture, he is best known for depicting women in the daily moments of life. He states, “I create out of a sense of nostalgia. I make people I like to see, the people I miss, the scenes I remember or imagine.” His women are dreams, the wished-for come to life, and people we would all like to know.
